Whether you live in northeast Georgia or must live somewhere else, today is the day to put your money where your mouth is...or should I say put your finger on the ballot and VOTE!!! I went in early to vote, and there was a line waiting...I was never so happy to wait in a line! I have lived here 20 years and in my little voting area I saw one person I recognized, only one. While I was leaving 4 more people I recognized walked in. Some were dressed for work, some were in boots and coats as it was really cold and one lady I recognized as being a native of this area, her family has lived here for generations did not feel the cold but was in jeans and flip flops...but there they were, all voting! You have until sundown, don't get left behind, don't give up your most precious right to vote.
Coming home I had to take Sir Winston for his walk, he definitely was not happy having to wait while I scurried out the door to go vote, so he was adamant, time to walk and we did. On the way back I saw an emergency vehicle/ambulance coming out of my street and realized one of my neighbors was not going to get to vote today. I just hope that was the least of my neighbor's problems but it struck a cord, no I won't always be here to vote, but while I am, I am happy to wait in line for the opportunity and privilege of doing so...you too???
