Volume & Prices Slip, Days on the Market Slip as well
The month of October saw continued good activity in the Weymouth real estate market. Twenty-six single family homes sold at an average sales price of $285,661. However this is down from the comparable month a year earlier where Thirty-two homes sold at an average sales price of $321,244. The two factors to note here are that time on the market is down to 68 days from 90, and last fall the market had the benefit of the First Time Home Buyer's Tax Credit. I will also note that 15 of the 26 homes that sold were under $300,000 showing that there are still good values to be found, and buyers are in the market.
