HIP TIPZ #171

Looking for a unique hostess gift?  Wrap fresh flowers in a burlap "blanket".  Leave the heads of the flowers exposed and tie the blanket shut with raffia.

HIP TIPZ #172

For something a little different, create your own personalized wall decal clock.  Google them for some great ideas.

HIP TIPZ #173

Check out the Nought Collective's 'Where Are We Going' rugs.  They're awesome for a contemporary, urban space.

HIP TIPZ #174

Is your backyard retreat in a noisy area?  Add a water feature to your design plan to help conceal outside noise.

HIP TIPZ #175

A large piece of artwork can make a small space appear more roomy.

Charlene- I like #175.... many homeowners will use several small pieces of art thinking their room isn't large enough however, 1 large pieces gives it a less cluttered look.

Another set of GREAT TIPS!  And, love the new profile pic, Charlene. While it's a little darker than your hair color, it really does make it stand out (smile).

Kathy S. - Yes, too many small pictures together can start to look cluttered.

Al & Peggy - What do you think, should I keep it?  ;-)   It's easy for a wall to become cluttered looking if there are too many small pictures on it.  Mind you, this is more from a staging point of view.  Many designers will cluster together a lot of smaller pictures to create a vignette.  It's called salon style.  I'm not a big fan of it myself though.

Kathy - Thank you!  It's quite the picture isn't it? LOL!  I'm thrilled at how much awareness it has brought to the issue of prostate cancer though (big smile).
