Lenn ... thanks for the vision of fall produce ... a whole new menu opens as summer closes!  It won't be long before we have winter produce .... which in early winter is great  .... but I'm almost always ready to see the spring crops come to market!  I mean really ... how much cabbage and root vegetables can you eat?

Those pictures have hot cider and corn bread written all over them. Places like this are key after a long drive.

Love the look of this market and how forunate for you to have in your neck of the woods. If it was around here I would certainly be visiting and often!

Looks fantastic. We have farmer's markets in all the major cities surrounding me but I rarely take the time to go.  This post makes me want to go grab some cider.  Also makes me miss the fall season in DC (which is the absolute best time of year there).

Hi Lenn,

I was listening to a commentator as I was reading the post and he referred to someone as "Spooky Dude" and I laughed so hard I could not see to type. Anyway, Love these markets and all the fresh veggies and the cider. Fresh unpasteurized cider is amazing. I could use some about now.

Evelyn.  It is a great place to shop with lots of atmosphere.

Ken.  Thanks.  My pleasure.

Rita.  It's a fantastic place for local folks to enjoy a Sunday afternoon.

Michael.  Well, in a downpour folks just move inside.  Actually, there's lots of room under cover outside.

Jack.  The winter vetegables are fabulous, beets, potaboes, white and sweet, squashes of all variety.  Also, my favorite, the apples of many varieties.

Phil.  They have some wonderful cakes and cookies too.  I'll get photos of the interior next time.

Martha.  Which I do, visit often.  It's 3 miles off my route to Leesburg where I go several time a week.  Very convenient.  For folks driving through, it's right on Route 9 on the road to West Virginia, so I'm sure they have many customers who are daily commuters.

Tri.  The great thing about this farmers market is that they have such a variety and a permanent building site where folks can sit and relax and enjoy the bounty, most of which is grown in acreage right behind the store.

William.  This is a farmers market that specializes in "organic" produce and prepared goods such as organic flowers, snacks, fruits and veggies, breads and baked goods, cider (made on the spot) etc.

I am such a sucker for local Farmer's Markets!  I can think of no better way to eat fresh and support your LOCAL farmers!  This one looks amazing with tons of activities and things to do besides just shopping for local goods!

Leesa.  This one is indeed unique.  Most are little more than roadside stands.  This one is a happening.

Patricia.  They're closed on Saturday.  I believe it's a religious matter.  But, they're open on Sunday.
