My husband works in the Advertising Department of Geeks On Call. (He can't fix computers) Geeks On Call is a national on-site computer repair company catering to small and medium businesses and larger home based companies.

To promote their new facebook business page they are really giving away a new Apple iPad.

To enter go to their facebook page, "like" their page and sign up to win it.

So far they have just over 300 people nationally that have signed up. The giveaway is on Black Friday November 26th. We almost wish the prize was smaller so that people would believe it is real. For a national giveaway, the odds are pretty good! AR people are the perfect customers for their business too so this is a great forum for their promotion.

You can also check out the company online at www.geeksoncall.com and/or look them up with the BBB. They are a good company with very nice people. I hope someone from ActiveRain wins!

Yes, Dave (my hubby) wanted to give away an iPod a week, or an ipod Shuffle every other day, but was out voted in favor of the iPad giveaway.

They are really expensive! I love Apple products. However, I still have not bought an iPad yet. I will have to get an iPhone though when they come to Verizon.

Yep, He was a (self proclaimed) Geek waaaaay before joining forces with Geeks On Call! He is the Star Trek, Star Wars, Dressing up as "Dr. McCoy" for halloween, variety too... at least I hope that was for halloween...

I would keep it smaller and give away more frequently, with photos and quotes from winners. But I too am open for other ideas...

Ohhh I need, and I do mean want, one of those lil' things =D

I was thinking of this the other day ... what can I do to bring more people to "llike/friend" my business page. And I've come up with the following: Market Analysis's, Gift Cards, Scentcy's, ect ... but like you Ingrid, I think they should be small so they can be more frequent but yet meaningful so people are willing to do it often.

Thanks! I am going to start a stronger online campaign for my own business. I like watching my husband test the waters first. He works in a marketing department of a national company and gets paid to test out ideas, besides designing and writing commercials and print advertisements. Good luck winning it if you signed up, I believe they are giving away more things after this.

Thanks. So far 165 in 2 weeks.... kinda slow... I think it is because there are so many scam offers for the $23 ipad that people do not believe this real attempt to give one away. Well... better odds for the AR people!
