Fun on this Friday...

This week has gone by with a quickness that usually brings forth the quote "we must be having fun....",
you know the rest of the words.

After the Vote on November 2nd, actually thought that time would slow down a bit, what with no more ads screaming at us; no more phone calls; no more flyer's in the mail.
But, didn't anticipate the speed with which the parties are already planning for the 2012 election runs.
Oh,come on--give us a break for awhile; isn't January 2011 soon enough
?

Yesterday Sal & I decided to get some "together time" by doing some trips outside of the home;

This started with the usual [well almost Usual] query " Did I close the garage door--Sal,
Quickly followed by " I don't know, you are the driver, it is the driver's job"--Me
[Resulting in another trip around the block to discover that --as usual--it was closed.]
I said "just get an app on your phone to secure the Home"--Me
Followed by "My phone is for making & receiving phone calls--it IS a Phone"---Sal

Just an example of most of our "Together-Times"

the reason why we:
...a. went together
...b. went Thursday
...c. went  for mundane reasons
is:

On Wednesday, while working around the Home, I found myself in the Great Room dusting the 3 Metal Decor wall hangings when, I heard the Press Conference / Announcement concerning  " my willingness to meet with & cooperative with...." and then that is when:

...the medium-sized 18" x 30" metal decor item slipped off one of the screws on the wall;
...the medium-sized 18" x 30" metal decor proceeded down that wall;
...the medium-sized yadda-yadda    decor scraped    down that wall;
...the medium-sized yadda-yadda-yadda-yadda resulted in the painter being here today repairing that wall;
...the medium-sized 18" x 30" metal decor will go back upon that wall probably tomorrow.

Is there a way to sue someone over this--[Homeowners will not cover my reactions to Presidential remarks]
Well, the color is good & as long as I don't have to paint anymore--it's OK by me.

The Day-Outing-Together ended at one of our favorite Family Restaurants--"Wildflower" 19 Mi Rd & Garfield

Overheard from the table behind;  [occupied by Grandma / Granddaughter or Aunt / Niece]

The woman was hilarious, using phrases in describing a female relative's take on life as:
...don't often believe what she says--she is kind of "Airy" you know "she's not wrapped too tightly"
...she said that she was having a Heart Attack, but didn't need  medical help--"she lives in the figments of her
   imagination"
...her main problem is that "she has the concept of willy-nilliness"

The teen was talking about another female relative's money problem:
..."she has the money for gas, & insurance, but needs to spend it on other things."

Don't you just love when unexpected things pop up in your daily dealings;
Just wanted to share what some "days ofn our lives" entail.

Have a laugh with us--or On us. Just Laugh

Barb & Sal, I never used to pay attention to conversations around me especially in restaurants, but I've since learned the great source of entertainment they can provide...I'm sure I've provided a few smiles and head scratches at other tables!  Have a great one!

People have the most interesting conversations. I remember going out to lunch with my wife several years ago while a woman sitting at the table next to us was on a cell phone talking to someone about her recent experiences in jail.

Nick....you are a better person than I am--always find myself 'tuned into' conversations around me--this ability did work very well when i was teaching--people are very funny, quite intelligent & full of surprises; given the opportunity to so do--always choose to avail myself of the ready sources of true wit, & wisdom. than ks for your comment and have a good rest of the week.

Jason...well, that beats any conversation I have ever heard.  WOW. OK now spill the beans, was she wrongly arrested,; did she do a dastardly crime; was she really an undercover reported????
Thanks for your comment and do have a good rest of the week.

Kathy...love that statement "a slice of life from the other table", sounds like a great title for a book.  Yes, normally all our days end up with a 'gift' from our fellow humans, or the animal species.  Thanks for your comment. Have a good rest of the week.
