What if Nordstrom started selling real estate too?
Everyone knows Nordstrom, and if not for anything else… the service. Whether you are buying or returning something, the level of service you receive is always first rate. Nordstrom might take a small one-time loss on a return, but at the same time they are building loyalty. That loyalty continues to drive repeat business day after day, month after month, and year after year.
So what would happen… if Nordstrom started selling real estate? I think a lot of agents would be at a loss, and to remain competitive they would have to raise the level of service they offer. Raising the level of service should include, and not be limited to, communicating regularly, developing a strategy to effectively market and sell the property, and be able to perform quickly on buying opportunities. Services like these establish trust, and build loyalty… all of which goes towards driving repeat business.
In the end… I’m not worried if Nordstrom started selling real estate – I’d fit right in!
