Geobatch is a Super Mapping Tool
In This Post
Super tool from René Fabre.
I have subscribed to 110 blogs written by Active Rain members. I just can't get enough. A while back I saw these neat maps on René Fabre's posts and I wondered how he did that. I saw some more today and so I just had to ask him. He said it's easy and went on to explain how he takes data from metroscan and dumps it into a spreadsheet and then copies it into geobatch. He said I should call him on Monday or come down to his office and he'd show me. But I gave it a try anyway. This is just too easy. Geobatch has some video tutorials. If I can do this, you can too.
So I went to AR and also opened a spread sheet. Then in the spreadsheet I typed in the name, city, state and occupation of each person. You can put anything as long as there is some address, city country, or zip code so geobatch can locate the item. Everything else shows in the data boxes. And then geobatch sends you a code for a link or to imbed the map in your blog.
Have fun and send René a thank you note.
Here is the map of the first 10 bloggers I subscribe to as of Friday night at 7:00 PM on the blog roll.
