Day Light Savings Time Again

By
Real Estate Agent with TriStar Realty 625668

Day Light Savings begins Nov. 7, 2010 at 2am. It’s that time again…actually an hour less than that time again.  Don’t forget to set your clocks back an extra hour.  Rarely in the Washington DC Metro Area or anywhere are we given extra time in our lives; enjoy this gift to relax with loved ones or if nothing else, get that extra hour of sleep you wish you had every day.

Thanks for the reminder.... actually my alarm clock thought it was LAST weekend, and I got burned! I was one hour late for an inspection. So much for the smart alarms, lol. They actually changed the date of switching times a few years ago but my alarm didn't get the memo!

Fred,

I thought it was last week as well. Fortunately for me, my only appointment was to get some rest.

Have fun with this and Daylight Savings Time is also a great time of year to take care of the following:

  • Resetting automatic lights and sprinklers to standard time operation.
  • Checking fire extinguishers and testing smoke detectors.
  • Restocking first-aid kits and emergency supplies.
  • Changing important passwords and personal identification numbers (PINs).
  • Rotating tires and inspecting the spare.

Enjoy your weekend!

Kathy

thanks for the comment and information.

I just learned something new for the day! I did not know that half that state of Inidiana participated DST and the other half no until recently.  Very interesting.

Dan,

no problemo. I just did not want anyone to run into the same problem that Fred and I had last week! :)
