Holiday "Busy"Ness Is Here!

Break out the Holiday Decorations, this is the earliest I have seen Christmas items in stores except for a 365 days a year Christmas Store. I saw some stores putting items out 2 weeks before Halloween.

What is on your wish list this year? New LED TV? I-PAD? I-Phone 4? One thing for sure, this should be a busy shopping year despite the slower economy. Have you seen how inexpensive it is to purchase a 47 inch TV? I have seen them for $700-$800, and To think that I paid $2995 for a Dell plasma back in late 2004 is mind boggling!

I know we all get caught up in gadgets and busy Holiday times, but whatever it is you have or don't have, love your family like no-other time. Enjoy your precious time together as we are only here for a very short time. Don't let the small stuff and day-to-day stuff stress you out. Don't let today's politics or Religion divide and conquer.

Have a wonderful Holiday Season! May your family be safe and healthy!

I'm wishing I could get rid of all the junk I collected over the years.  My I-pad is getting dangerously close to getting on that list!

The greatest gift I hope to receive is time with the family to just relax and celebrate the moment.  You are right, stuff ... you can surround yourself with the latest and get caught up in upgrading and planning for our new gadget but when all is said and done it is the memories that makes us whole and family that completes us.  Christmas started way to early in the stores this year, next we will see them slide out for Christmas in July around the 4th.

Hi Steve - I agree that the Christmas shopping season starts earlier and earlier. I was in Philadelphia on Oct 1, helping a friend shop for some office items, and Ikea already had decorated Chrsitams trees up, along with the all the tree trimmings for sale!

The upside of this down economy is that, at least in my experience, we are all focusing more on family and friends and connecting with them, and a lot less on buying them stuff for the holidays.

Thanks for the great post!
