I went panning for gold in Oregon. You find a stream, get your pan and get to work. You will turn up little gold flakes and if you keep at it, at the end of a months time, you can find what you are looking for ($50-$100) from doing this. So it is with people and the treasures locked up inside of them...
IT'S IN THERE...DON'T WORRY ABOUT THAT...
Below the surface are things buried inside of you. Treasures that are stored and protected by you. Some you know about, some you don't. One of the ways to get to it is, you must engage people in conversation, dialog, exploring, and searching the subject matter until treasure is sighted. This treasure is meaning, depth, and truth that sets people free.
TRY THIS WAY TOO
The other way to access your inner parts is to be still or disengage your mind and emotions....Come out of your thoughts long enough and things surface and come to you...if you stay in the moment. The usage of either way will bring forth untold insights, revelations and...?
Small talk doesn't necessarily do it. Common talk or repetition doesn't produce good results either. Time and patience along with a earnest desire to find what you are looking for will produce good results.

I have noticed that when counseling people, or even in my marriage via arguments, it may take hours to break through the hard rock and nonsense until we strike gold. Most people don't stay the course and go the same way they came in...with nothing.....

You got to work for it. Not stop until you find it. Sometimes the pride and the ego has to be worn down and pooped out out so that we may access these truths within ourselves and others. Not easy to do. People who are not inviting or who are threatening make this process even harder. Thus they need a stronger person to stand strong for them so they can have a break through.....into & unto themselves

TO BE QUIET AND DESPERATE IS NOT YOUR CALLING
This is the result of not mining your own gold or the gold in others. Gold un-mined doesn't do anyone any good. That is what gives gold its value. The labor that goes into the finding and then mining of it. So it is with truth. It is well worth pursuing. Obstacles will come your way to stop you. Don't be derailed here. Instead, take that as a sign that you are on the right track.
BUT YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND.....
If you find yourself arguing during the conversation process, you get to keep your argument and of course nothing ventured nothing gained. Don't do this. Remain open, risk vulnerability and consider......
