Horror Movie Houses in Hollywood-Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street

I recently blogged about my trip to Los Angeles and my tour of the stars homes.  I was impressed about the homes accessability and the public, as many of them were located right off the street without fences, or at least tall ones.  One could imagine how many actors have been paid a visit by a wandering fan.  During the tour, we entered a street that would hold something more exciting for me than Tom Sellecks own house.  We found the house that was in Halloween, with Jamie Lee Curtis.  The street was eerie and tree lined with tall looming trees.  Perched not far from the street was the house where her character babysat, and eventually where Michale Meyer's fell from the second story balcony.

Wouldn't you know, that located directly across the street was the house where Freddie Krueger visited in Nightmare on Elm Street!  See below.

Since I grew up with these horror movies, it was facinating to see them in person and to observe that they are part of a regulary neighborhood, not a movie back lot.

I enjoyed your blog. The information was intersting about the homes used in movies.

See I would have figured that they were all sets on a lot and not a real home.  So does someone actually live in these homes?  That might be a little freaky!
