Eagan renters, now is the time to plan for a spring home purchase

If you're renting and running out of patience, now is the time to start preparing for a spring move.  Most leases end in either May or June, and you need to indicate your intention to renew 30 - 60 days before their end date.  Just like Christmas shopping, most buyers put off shopping for a new home until it's too late to thoroughly research the market and develop a well-planned buying strategy.  Don't wait until the tulips pop up before starting the preliminaries.

You can get a few things out of the way right now.  It's not too early to find out what it will cost per month to own a home, and it's not too early to get an honest opinion from a finance expert on your chances of getting the best interest rate on a home loan.  It's not too early to learn about market conditions and how they vary from micro-market to micro-market.  It's not too early to learn the benefits and risks of buying a foreclosure, or of making an offer on a short sale.

My buyer orientation is a free, no obligation opportunity for you to learn about the market and just what to expect next spring when you begin searching for a new home.  It takes about an hour and is a one on one information session that will prepare you to make good decisions about your future.  Call me now to arrange a convenient time to meet in my Eagan office.
