Have your Thanksgiving feast
at the San Diego Zoo or the Safari Park!

http://www.missionvalleycondos.infoThanksgiving is just around the corner, so if you don't have any sort of panache for cooking a feast for yourself and others, I can highly recommend any of three Thanksgiving feasts at the San Diego Zoo or the Safari Park:

  • Treetops Thanksgiving Buffet, San Diego Zoo
Turkey, prime rib, salads, artisan breads, side dishes, and a dessert bar at the Treetops Banquet Room.
$42.95 for adults, $15.95 for children 11 and under
Plus cost of admission to the Zoo for non-members
    For reservations, call 619-557-3964
  • http://www.missionvalleycondos.infoAlbert's Thanksgiving Dinner, San Diego Zoo
    Noon to 4:00 p.m.
Enjoy an eye-opening, mouth-watering, stomach-filling, three-course Thanksgiving at Albert's Restaurant. Turkey, prime rib, blackened salmon, vegetable lasagna, salads, soups, cheesecake, and chocolate cake.
$37.95 for adults, $13.95 for children 11 and under
Plus cost of admission to the Zoo for non-members
    For reservations, call 619-557-3964
  • Hunte Nairobi Pavilion Thanksgiving Buffet, Safari Park
Seatings available at noon and 3:00 p.m.
Advertised as a "lavish buffet," and I have no doubt that it will be.
$42.95 for adults, $15.95 for children 11 and under
Plus cost of admission to the Safari Park for non-members
    For reservations, call 760-738-5055

Jim, Wow, that would be a fun way to spend the holiday!  That is a great zoo!  Is that where you might be for Thanksgiving?

Jim - That's a great place to be if you have no place to go for Thanksgiving.  What a fantastic idea!  I don't think they have anything like that at the Bronx Zoo in New York.

I had no idea you could spend Thanksgiving at the Zoo.  That sounds like a blast, and pardon me for saying so, a great way to ditch the extended family obligations.

What a neat thing-I don't know a zoo that does that.  I think that would be a great place to spend Thanksgiving!  I agree with Chris Ann!

Thanks for stopping by, everyone.

I’m trying to catch up on old posts to see if anyone had a question or if there are some comments that need a response. If so, I’ll respond in a comment below this one.

Also remember that I return comment for comment, so I'll be by your blogs to read and comment soon. I'm exactly 30 days behind right now, but I usually catch up during Thanksgiving and Christmas, so you'll definitely hear from me soon.

And if you need a cat book for Christmas for that special cat person in your life — even yourself if you're your own special cat person in your life! — I can highly recommend “The Cat Lover’s Book of Days,” by our own ActiveRain Member Peg Silloway. It's a book that you can use year after year, and never get tired of, because there are no years in it, only days. It's great!

Gloria – My other half always does something devious for Thanksgiving for us. I have no idea what he has planned.
