The city of Port Royal is located on Port Royal Island the largest of the Sea Islands of Beaufort County SC, between the Beaufort River and Battery Creek River.
Port Royal boosts a rich history dating back to when the first boats landed there in 1520. The city motto is "The Birthplace of American Civilization, Established 1562. Older than Our Nation- As New AS Tomorrow"!
