NEW SCAM HITS TOWN FOR THE HOLIDAYS....TUCSON REAL ESTATE
Several people in the northwest part of town have been approached in various parking lots with at least a couple of different pitches.
They were approached in nearby parking lots by a person asking for gas money. The person offered a gold chain in return for the kind deed. They didn't want much money for the "14K" gold chain, usually $20 -30 dollars. Red flag warning here!
Two of the parking lots in question were the Foothills Mall and the WalMart center on Thornydale just north of the Foothills mall.
Chains were good looking but anyone who has any common sense knows that gold is about $1400 per ounce. This chain is worthless. Spend $20 and get a $2 chain.
During the holidays more scams than ever pop up.
Just be wise and be careful.
