"What are the three most important things in a Transaction?"

By

The other day, I was answering a question, on another site and someone asked:

"What are the three most important things in a Transaction?"

My answer: "Location, Location, Location.....that was true 23 years ago when I first became a Realtor and it's true now....Oh, but you asked what are the three most important things in a Transaction....to me it would be:

1) Diligence: Pay attention to the deadlines,

2) Communication with all parties, make sure everyone is on the same page,

3) Honesty, always be upfront and

4) never assume that someone else will take care of "it"....

5) Follow up and follow through!  If you say you are going to do something, do it! even if you have to pay for it (you being the agent that made the promise)

6) Read your Escrow instructions. Oops! you said three....I could think of more, if you want."

Can you help me out and tell me what you would add to my list.

This is a good blog...all important things.  In today's market, in addition to the Location, Location, Location...I would add Price, Price, Price.  Everyone wants the deal of the century!

Hi there,

Good info, and communication would probably be #1 for me.

To add to you list, I think it's important to be flexible.
