One thing that I love to do often where I live in the Denver suburbs of Highlands Ranch is regularly go for a walk. Today is it the breathtaking Foothills Trail that runs along the south side of Highlands Ranch.
The Foothills Trail runs between the Weatherstone neighborhood and BackCountry neighborhood in Highlands Ranch and the Chatfield Estates neighborhood.
I did take there photos on the Foothills Trail a few days ago, before this wind we have currently been having had set in. Hopefully it will be gone in the morning and you will be able to enjoy a crisp autumn walk, as you can see the scenery is breath taking and I have no doubt that it will be even more so as we begin to see the evidence on the peaks of this first large winter storm in the mountains.
There are many entry points to head to the Foothills Trail, including many other trails that lead into it. But if you want to drive over, the best place to park would be the lot of Pronghorn Park in the Weatherstone Neighborhood and then you can across the street and you will see the entrance to the trail.
