Both the median and average sales prices in Rocky Hill have increased for single family homes in 2010 over 2009! In addition, the number of closed sales through October equals the total number of closed sales in all of 2009. Rocky Hill single family home sales volumes may end 2010 closer to the volume we saw in 2008. As we saw with the Wethersfield single family home market statistics, the first time home buyer tax credit incentivized first time home buyers to buy their first homes which then enabled existing home buyers to “move up” and buy larger, more expensive homes at near historic low-interest rates.
