Veterans' Benefits

Veterans' Benefits!  Regarding our Veterans service.

James Millere, 1943 - 1945, US ArmyToday, 11.11.2010, I am reminded that my father served in the Army from 1943 thru 1945; or from 19 years of age thru 21. It’s hard to imagine my father, at that age, fighting for his country’s freedom....our country’s freedom.

Recently I applied for Veterans' Benefits for my mother, who is in assisted living.  Many veterans or spouses are not aware of the Dependency and Indemnity Compensation available. For more information, go to: http://www.va.gov .

When I received the military records, it was a copy of a carbon copy.  In those days, the only way to make a copy was with carbon paper or a mimeograph machine…..suddenly, I feel old.

Here is a tip for Veterans (or anyone that knows a Veteran) that will be dealt with in more detail in a later post.  As an American and an Arizona REALTOR®

As well, the $6,500 tax credit for Veterans that are previous home buyers is also available thru April 30 2011.  Stay tuned for future posts and details on this subject. Great information. I had not heard of the extension for veterans but will definitely keep it in mind.

I stumbled across the information online by accident. Not many people seem to be aware of this. We need to get the information out.
