Two Great Tech Marketing Options You Might Have Missed

By
Real Estate Agent with Trademark Realty Group of Palm Coast

We're always exploring new options and services that are out there and particularly like the word 'FREE' in any advertising.  Over the last few weeks we've found two newer options that you might have missed.

The first is www.Paper.Li This service takes Twitter feeds (i.e. a member, hastag, or a list) and creates a custom automated online newspaper-looking site.  The paper provides vistors with a very rich reading experience that can be updated daily, weekley, or twice per day.  It also adds in automated announcements on Twitter that your new edition is available.  Check out two I created this week:

The other is a great tie-in with Postlets (an already very powerful service) called vyoo.it. This powerful service takes your Postlets property advertisement and turns it into a mobile site complete with a QR code that is automatically generated.  We've been exploring using QR codes recently and focused alot on adding them to property signs to direct 'window shoppers' to more information on the property from the comfort of their car.  We're thinking vyoo.it is defintely the solution.  Once the barcode is scanned with a smartphone, the shopper is directed to a great looking version of the Postlets ad complete with photos.  Plus they can simply tap the phone number at the bottom to make the call to schedule an appointment.  Scan the QR code below to see what I am talking about:

Have fun and let me know what you think.

Thanks for the responses.

Carla, yeah that's an interesting (and I say that biting my tongue) story in the area.  The articles are generated from Lists I built in twitter.  Obviously you have to watch who you add to those lists.

Ryan, great question.  We are actually getting ready to place them on signs so I don't have real data to share at this time.  The next part is placing them on the sign in an attractive way that can withstand weather.  Going to get together with my sign guy to see what he can come up with in terms of a plastic insert maybe on a cling.  The biggest benefit is that there is very little cost involved which makes it definitely worth a try.

Adrzej & Justin, QR codes are fantastic.  They have a wide range of uses and are free to create.  They can link out to sites or as a vcard.  My next round of business cards are definitely getting QR codes on them.  The great thing too in our industry is that they can be easily scanned from distances on a variety of displays.  For example, some advertisers have displayed them on screens at sports games for fans to scan.  Amazing stuff.

vyoo.it looks like an interesting find.  I have added that to my Delicious links so that I could spend a little time exploring it...

vyoo.it is great.  I really like the display it produces.  We actually created a custom rider and are using that service to enhance the sign.  http://activerain.com/blogsview/1989137/the-for-sale-sign-just-got-better is a post I wrote that shows how we are using this.  Great and easy way to enhance a sign.

We've gotten pretty good response from the Paper.li service also.  I've created 2 'papers'.  One for the area and one for Real Estate in general using Twitter Lists targeted for both.  It's a great way to remain social.

vyoo.it seems like a great idea but I don't understand why you've got to sign up with a Facebook acct to get on it?

Kathleen, are you able to use the mobile presentation you created with vyoo.it and attach it a custom URL? The presentation you gave as an example looked nice.

Catherine,

The mobile view of the property is automatically created by vyoo.it  It actually pulls the information from Postlets.com when you out in the Postlets number for a property you have entered on there.  The vyoo.it automatically generates the QR code as well.

Nice easy services to use.
