Oftentimes throughout the year I declare, "This is my favorite time of year!" But seriously, this has to be about my favorite... Not because of the weather or any sporting or holiday event...it's because we send out Thanksgiving cards to our clients and as I glance over at my client's names, I so vividly remember my time with them. In every case, my memories are so fond, or profoundly funny, or inane. I just can't help but laugh (like the husband and wife who got in a heated discussion with her husband over the difference between a fox and a coyote. In their defense, we were in hour 4 of looking for the perfect house). My clients, both present and past, are so important to me. They serve as a benchmark in my life...remembering that I was in Disney World when I negotiated with a client to sell his house; in the hospital after having given birth to my daughter and having received a phone call from another; receiving a cut glass serving bowl as a closing gifts from one (that I hold as dear as my Waterford Goblets) and the countless hugs and gratitude that I received from others on the day of, and years after their closing. I am so grateful to them and how they have made my life so full in the last 17 years, that this really is one of my favorite times of the year!
