Endorsed Referrals - What a Week!
As an independent Broker, I run a small business and while every week usually brings some sort of referral, four referrals was a surprise. These referrals can be from a variety of sources within my SOI. They can be from neighbors, friends of friends, etc. My absolute favorite and most humbling referral is the Endorsed Referral.
This week I received four Endorsed Referrals. A personal record. Two sellers and two buyers. All business is good, but these are the special ones. Endorsed referrals come from previous clients. It's a wonderful feeling to know that our past clients have the utmost confidence in our knowledge and abilities, that they believe in the service we provide and that we are the right choice in a Realtor for their friends/family.
By the time I actually receive the call, that new client is already on board - their confidence and comfort levels are already elevated; we just have to make it happen. As one couple told me last evening - "our friends said you are WHO we need to talk too".
The endorsed referrals this week are:
1) Short Sale Listing - referred from a successfully closed short sale seller in 2009;
2) a couple splitting up where either one will buy out or sell short sale - referred from another successful short sale seller in 2008).
3) first time FHA buyer - referred by an investor buyer closed earlier this year.
4) Investor buyer - referred by same buyer as the FHA buyer.
Many times, I receive these referrals due to the pairing of my title/escrow background and real estate brokerage, plus just knowing our Sacramento market since 1981. (A gift of gab probably helps a little too). It is a rare moment when I don't have the answers - I guess 30+ years around real estate will do that to you.
