Living in the Denver Suburbs: Spicy Pickle Lone Tree CO

The Spicy Pickle sandwich shop that is closets to my home and where I generally work, is in Lone Tree CO and it has become a regular spot to grab a sandwich.

Here is the original post I wrote last month and posted on my Denver real estate blog on the Spicy Pickle: Lone Tree's Spicy Pickle

Day 88 Spicy Pickle | Lone Tree CO

Today on Day 88 of 365 Things To Do in South Denver Suburbs, we are heading out for something warm to eat.  I have to admit that when I woke this morning and heard the rain beginning as it hit the windows of my home in Highlands Ranch, I was surprised by it.  I had not paid any attention to the weather reports last night and I was not aware we were going to have so much rain this morning.

While it was a nice surprise, as we certainly need the rain here in the Denver area, combine that with the cold front that moved in, and it was quite a brisk morning.  So when it came time for lunch time, it was soup or a warm sandwich 100%.  I decided to head to Spicy Pickle in Lone Tree and have a little bit of both.

For my soup, I tried the butternut squash.  I have never had it before so it was a pleasant surprise but for my sandwich I went with a favorite, the Gobbler.

I have always enjoyed Spicy Pickle – and of course their name sake is delicious – I don’t know they make those pickles spicy but they do.  They also have salads and traditional subs, but I prefer the warm Panini sandwiches, particularly on a day like today.  There are locations all over the Denver metro area, but this one is in Lone Tree just off Park Meadows Drive on Station Street, in front of the RTD Light Rail station at Lincoln.

Now that the sun is braking and warming up outside, you may want to save a soup afternoon for another day – you should still check out Spicy Pickle – you will find something you like.  And next time there is a chill in the air (which is likely to be before the week’s end) the soup & sandwich combo is the way to go.

Hi Steve - yum, and another great post about the Spicy Pickle! Your lunch looks great, and I am not sure if I have had butternut squash soup - but it sounds great - and festive this time of year!

It was pretty good - but any soup on a day like that is great!
