Hello fellow Agents and RE Professionals. I am fairly new to active rain and while surfing the site and reading blogs, i've come across of lots of comments, facts, tips and opinions. But mostly the word "NEWBIE" popped out to me as a NEGATIVE word and how it's being used on this site. I will keep this blog short and simple. I would like everyone that reads this blog to leave a positive tip, trick, marketing catch phrase, etc..That newbies could use in a positive way instead of slandering them. Don't forget we were once NEWBIES and tried to soak up everything like a sponge and to think outside of the box to start our Real Estate career and empires. Thank you for reading and keep closing.
One tip I will give to a Newbie is to stay true to yourself, find your niche and be honest to your clients! and disclose everything.
Readers here is why I wrote this blog:
And NEVER tell a FSBO you don't want to list their home, but just want to see it to see if your Buyer might be interested, then visit with only the intent of converting it into a listing. They heard it all already from some clumsy and ham-handed earnest insulting newbie.
A friend told me about an agent who blocked the driveway of a FSBO Seller in their neighborhood and wouldn't let the family leave without listening to the FSBO HOPELESS spiel. In a driving rain.
Pitiful, stupid, insensitive, and it marks all of us. Treat them with respect.
