Where have all the buyers gone?

By
Real Estate Agent with Century21 Access America

Ok I admit I am fairly new to this and so maybe this will seem naive to some of you, but where have the buyers gone? Maybe the question is how are you finding them?

Seems to me that mailings, putting my card out there, advertising etc has not produced much activity for the effort.

I wonder are other offices running campaigns that attract attention or is it all left to the individual agents?

Raymond,

It's not only you, it's the Home Inspectors also.

The Real Estate industry is at an all time low right now, so anyone involved in this industry is quite slow at this time.

I'm pefrforming 5-7 inspections a week compare to three years ago where I was performing 20 a week.

Hang in there.....

I agree with Ellie,

Let everyone you can possibly talk to know that you are working and that now is the best time for people to buy ahome. Send out a positive attitude.

How long have you been advertising and doing your mailings to your farm?It takes a good 6-7 mailings before you actually get a bite.Be consistent with your marketing and things WILL fall into place!

We have actually seen an increase in buyers over the last couple of weeks.  Some good, some ok and some that just can't do anything at this time.  Keep plugging along and create that positive attitude it is your bread and butter we are talking about here, afterall.

The secret to finding buyers is to get a listing or two OR borrow a listing from someone else in your office to advertise and hold open!

Although my buyer leads have fallen off, I actually have more qualified buyers.

Get on the phone and TALK to your Mets. Prepare a script to you can explain the market to them. They are waiting to hear a local voice tell them whats happening and inspire some confidence.

Good luck,
