A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of showing the same home in Durham Maine to several different buyers. I truly enjoy showing that home since I get to take the short drive from Auburn to Durham and enjoy a constant display of truly unfettered views of farms, fields, hills, rivers, and ponds. After about the third trip, I just had to stop and snap a photo. If you are looking for a place to call home with views that do not include tons of buildings, highways, or power lines...then Maine should be your destination.
That sure is a beautiful scene. What city life offers can quickly be replaced by something of a more sublime value.
Kristen, Very beautiful. Thank you for taking the time to share that view with us. Nice.
Aahh... but the cold! It gets really, really cold in Maine. Picture though is beautiful ;)
Absolutely stunning Kristen............I could sit and stare at that all day long.
Glenn: So true. Definitely the country life for me, although a trip every now and again to a city can be a nice experience as well.
Anytime Charles. Kind of looks a bit like the Ozarks. You think?...foothills of course
LOL Peggy! It's not really THAT cold here, honest. Besides that's what wood stoves are for. :-) Nothing like a fire and some hot cocoa...and some nice toasty warm Maine wool sweaters.
Roger: Sometimes I am tempted. I do tend to drive slow and stare out the window when no one is behind me and I've been known to stop and relax at different roadside get aways after showings.
Oh, what a gorgeous view. And since I LOVE cold and snow, I would be quite happy there. ;-)
Susan: LOL! At first I was thinking...great! Come on up! Then I realized you were probably being sarcastic.
David: Yes, the no power lines thing is my favorite! They are here, just not that prevalent since we simply don't have that many homes to connect. :-)
I'm sure I would do the same Kristen.........enjoying Mother Nature's creations.
Hi Kristen - Just beautiful! I can see why you'd stop by the side of the road to really enjoy a view like that.
Yes Roger, Mother Nature is definitely the best artist. :)
Denise: A little, but this was actually taken a couple of weeks ago. We do have some bright yellow left, but windstorms last week removed most of them and painted the ground for us with orange.
Judy: Every time we get to a new season, I say "this is my favorite time of year." So many vistas to view.
What a peaceful view. Always makes me imagine what it must have been like back in the 1700's across this gorgeous land.
I do the same thing whenever I stumble upon a view that just seems to go on forever with no signs of modern life. :-)
