Leaf Pick-Up: Will begin on October 18 and continue through December 10. There will be a minimum of two pick ups in each area. Leaves should be raked to the curb and should not be raked into the road or within 10 feet of a catch basin. Leaves can also be taken to the dumpster during normal days/hours of operation – no permit required. Questions: 908/526-1300, ext. 177

Radio City Music Hall Christmas Show Tuesday, December 7. Bus leaves White Oak Park at 1 PM. Show time is at 5 PM so there will be time for some sight-seeing. Good seats in the Orchestra section. Tickets are $75 and include transportation and the show. Tickets are limited and selling quickly, so please order early! Call the Recreation Office for more information - 526-1300, x 187.

Branchburg Woman’s Club: Craft Fair and Bake Sale, Saturday, November 13, 9 – 4 at Whiton Elementary School. Zumba, the Latin-inspired dance-fitness program, will be the topic at the November 18 meeting of the Branchburg Woman's Club. The talk and demo will start at 7:30 PM at the Little Red Schoolhouse. Call 725-7969.

Somerset County Division of Solid Waste Management will collect old scrap tires, with or without rims, Mon, Nov 15, through Fri, Nov 19, from 8 AM. - 3 PM at the South County Public Works Garage located at 410 Roycefield Rd. There is no cost and residents can drop off up to eight tires per household.

Tires also can be dropped off at the county Recycling Center, located at 40 Polhemus Lane in Bridgewater, from 8 AM. - 2 PM, as part of the First Saturday of the Month Drop-Off Program. The next drop-off date is Dec. 4.

Somerville High School: students are collecting pink yogurt lids for “Save Lids to Save Lives" to raise awareness and funds for the fight against breast cancer. Please bring your pink lids to the canister at the Municipal Building by Dec. 15.
