What if we started looking for the good news?
Marte makes a lot of sense to me. Let me know what you think. And have a GREAT day while you are at it! Thanks!
What if, instead of giving attention to all the bad news, we started paying attention to the good news and the good feelings?
According to the Law of Attraction, we'd start getting more Good News and more good feelings. What if, instead of thinking about the 20% or so of the population that is currently unemployed, we thought about the people who still have good jobs?
What if, instead of thinking about the people who have gone through foreclosure or short sales and can't buy a new home for a while, real estate agents started thinking about the people who have cash in the bank and are ready to buy?
What if, instead of thinking about all the terrible things our politicians are doing, we started noticing a few good things that they do. (I know, we'll have to search, but surely there are a few good things.)
What if, instead of cursing B of A and other big banks, we start noticing and talking about the small banks that are doing right by their customers?
And what if, instead of giving our energy to competitors who are nasty, we started appreciating those who are kind, helpful, and hard-working?
What if, instead of thinking about what went wrong with a listing presentation, you think about what went right in some other presentation?
What if, instead of thinking about those buyers who wasted a week of your time before deciding not to buy, you think about those other ones - the ones who chose the home they wanted, sailed through the financing, and caused a nice check to land on your desk? What if you take a look around at the people you love - and take the time to let the good feelings of love wash over you?
I've been consciously using the Law of Attraction in my own life - and I am seeing some amazing results. The first of which is that I am happier than I've ever been. In addition, it's been good for business and good for all the relationships in my life.
So I challenge you to do an experiment - If the news of the world and the economy have gotten you down, take a minute today to look around, see the people, situations, and things you like and appreciate, and give some attention to them. Then stop and think for a few minutes about your successes, even if they're small.See if you don't feel a whole lot better as you go on with the day.
If you do it again tomorrow and the next day, you'll see more to like every day. (It's the law.)
And you'll feel better and better.
