Thanksgiving Parades And Balloon Parties In Westchester, Stamford, & New York City November 2010

With Thanksgiving right around the corner there are a few events and activities I'd like to bring to your attention.  Forget about the Christmas shopping right after, stay in the moment and enjoy the ballooooooooooons!

1) Big Balloon Blow-up NYC - Nov 24 - Watch the gigantic Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons being inflated right before your eyes.  The inflation will begin around 3pm and end around 10pm.  Crowds are big but flow nicely, so get there early.  Near the Museum of Natural History (off Central Park West between 77 and 81 streets.

2) Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade - Nov 25 - Stay the night and wake up to the parade!  This year will mark the 84th year that this tradition warms the hearts of many.  The parade begins 9am til noon and starts at 77th st and Central Park West, it ends at 34th st. and 7th ave.  Contact the parade hotline on 212.494.4495 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting              212.494.4495      end_of_the_skype_highlighting for route and other details.

3) New Rochelle Parade - Nov 20 - New Rochells Thanksgiving parade returns with bands, marchers, floats and more.  It begins at 10am in Downtown New Rochelle.  The parade travels down North Ave into new Roc City.

4) USB Parade Spectacular - Nov 21 - Noon - This is one of the largest helium balloon parades in the country!  Come watch marching bands and floats travel through Downtown Stamford.  The parade route starts at Summer St., Stamford CT, visit for more info.

5) Giant Balloon Party - Nov 20 - If you don't feel like going into the city to watch the inflation of the balloons you can go to Stamford Ct.  You'll get a backstage look at the SAC Capital Advisors Giant Balloon Inflation Party, with music, performers, clowns and more!  The party runs from 3pm-6pm at Summer St & Hoyt St.
