The "OTHER WEST COAST of the USA!

Mention "West Coast" and most people's minds think California, surfing and beautiful sunsets.

There IS another West Coast in the United Sates, the West Coat of Florida, where the sun sets nightly, in great splendor, into the Gulf of Mexico.

  • Here in the Naples area in SW Florida we enjoy miles of sandy white beaches, watching the dolphins play just feet from the shore, observing manatees swim by slowly, and water and shore birds of all sizes and description having a good time in and near the water.
  • Here in the Naples area in SW Florida people also have a good time.  The waves may not be big enough for serious surfing but your children can swim in the Gulf and fly kites on shore.  We have wonderful malls with all the national chains stores, upscale shopping areas, restaurants of all descprition and prices, pop concerts, symphony concerts, ballet, opera, art galleries, museums, to give you something to do après-beach.
  • Here in the Naples area in SW Florida prices have not been as low since the 2002.
  • Here in the Naples area in SW Florida life is good - and best of all - Florida has no income tax.

So, for beaches and the Good Life, consider Naples, Marco Island, Bonita Springs and Estero in SW Florida!

Christine - I love your west coast!  My father lived on Pine Island - just north of Sanibel for almost 20 years.  The climate was wonderful!  On this very cold November day - I'd love to switch time zones!

Some of my friends moved from Hawaii to Florida a few years ago and they love it.  Florida's housing prices are so much lower compared to Hawaii.
