Vienna, Va. is a wonderful place to live, raise your family and enjoy life. December is a busy time for the town. To begin the holiday season this year, one can participate in the Church Street "holiday stroll" on November 30. The street will close to vehicles from 6 to 9. Jane Seeman, the mayor, will light the tree at 6:30 and Santa will arrive to meet and greet guests on the porch of the Freeman House. There will be a petting zoo, bonfires and entertainment by a host of local community organizations. Historic buildings will also be open for touring. The event is sponsored by Historic Vienna Inc., the Vienna town government and local merchants. Call 703-938-5187 or www.historicviennainc.org for more information.
