So what now? Rent your home?

You had your home on the market all summer, spending all that time and effort to sell your home, watching buyers track mud on your carpet, making low-ball offers. Had to be one of the most frustrating real estate experiences of all times!

So, now your home did not sell for a price you can live with and as we enter the late fall the market slows down. Can you make it through the winter and continue to make house payments while a buyer may or may not come to see your home?

Let me make a suggestion. What about finding a renter to rent your home while you wait for the market to improve? Too risky for you? Heard the horror stories of management? Afraid someone will rent your home and it takes months tio get them out if they don't pay?

Most of that is rumors and not true. This is a great time to be a landlord because all the new financial rules have eliminated many buyers from the market, and this is good for landlords. There is a bunch of good tenants out there right now looking for a nice home to rent. Maybe they will even purchase your home if they like it, kind of a try before you buy concept. And if they don't pay? Most evictions can be completed in 2-3 weeks.

So, as we enter the slow real estate market why not consider a tenant to help make your payments?
