The "Power" of Attorney
Thank you Jon for your professional friendship and recommendation. This article I missed and just now found it (more than half a year later!). Also since this article we have indeed met - and appropriately it was at an AR event - Rain Camp Orlando.

I got a call from a homeowner. She told me that she wanted to list a house for short sale. Her husband lost a job here, now is working in another state and they can't afford having this home. She said that she was referred to me by the attorney. We started talking, and then I asked her who the attorney was. She said it was Richard Zaretsky.
I know that many of you know Richard Zaretsky of West Palm Beach. He is an AR member, and his blog posts about Short Sales and foreclosures are undoubtedly among the best if not simply the best information of that sort on AR.
I met Richard on AR, I sent him my first short sale client with two condo units. I did not believe we could pull it off, there were too many complications, and at one point it sounded like there was no deal, but Richard intervened, he sent me the string of e-mails, and that was a heated exchange, but it worked, and we closed both those deals. Then there was another one, and we have another one in the pipeline now.
Still, being that far from West Palm Beach, and having never met him, it was a pleasant surprise to receive a call asking for an appointment based on his recommendation.
I met with the Sellers today. We had a very productive meeting and ended with a signed listing. The interesting part was that they were not interviewing me. They did not feel they needed to do it. They trusted Richard's judgement, and they just wanted to move with the sale. The Seller has followed all Richard's articles on AR, so it was easy to talk to them.
This is the magic Power Of Attorney. Thank you, Richard.
