AR Friends,
So I am Working on my facebook business page... again...
Tip... don't put the name of the company you work for in your facebook page name if there is even the remote possibility that you will actually depend on that page for your business AND there is the possibility that you may one day move companies, or start your own. Once your facebook business page is named and set up it cannot be changed...
So long 300+ Likes on my last facebook for business... Had to start over from scratch... Yikes!
You can be kind and "Like" my new page.... just to the right of this blog entry there is a link on my AR Blog!
I have some pretty cool FBML stuff I started playing with like my Active Rain Tab! I can show you how to make it if you like. (No pun intended.)
I went from 300+ Likes to 300+ Yikes! Ouch...
Talk to you soon!

Ingrid, Thanks for the tip and I will go right now and "like" your facebook page.
Interesting for sure. I haven't been interested in FB quite frankly. To me it seems more for friends keeping in touch, than a professional face. My daughter uses FB and she's 16...What's your take on this???
Patricia/Seacoast NH & ME
Ingrid - Just starting to think about executing a FB business page ... thanks for the tip! Sorry the loss of "likes" must feel akin to being "de-friended" in bulk!
Sandy... Thanks! I need the help!!
Patricia... FB is important. That is why I have a personal and a business page. on the personal side I keep up with family and friends... then on the business page I update colleagues, co-workers, and business associates about business. I believe it is very important to have an established web presence. FB is part of mine. It is not for just the 16 year old daughters anymore.
As far as professional, well.. Coke, Pepsi, Toyota, Hasbro, Geeks On Call, Geek Squad, are pretty professional and national corporations and they all use FB Business Pages. It may be a fad, but it is a fad that is inexpensive and useful to my business! Anyhow... I hope my insight helps and doesn't sound too confusing! I hope you have a profitable year end!

Jack,
It is like I unfriended people... even worse!! I just wish I could have changed the name. Do start one though, I find it useful.

Thank you for your tips on the Facebook page and the reminder to focus on the future and not just the present. Have a great Thanksgiving.

Ingrid - Just learned that little tidbit during a presentation last week at our local board. Just starting to set up the pages now so I will be careful. Excited to learn about FBML as well. All the best ~ Doug
Doug,
I like the FBML, fun... I made a nice Linked in FBML Page, it looks so legit that it may be confused for a plug in!
