For those that remember my main site, The FHA Expert, it was hijacked at one point. Long story and it was a sad day in my life. Not only for the money that was lost in having the blog site built, the potential dollars from new clients, but what I had written on that particular site. Not only that, but how it was slowly moving up in the ranks of being noticed and searched. Well, after trying to get my old site back up and running, I finally decided to have a new one built. I reached out to Jeremy Blanton and Jason Crouch of 210 Consulting. I explained to Jeremy what I was looking for and what I once had. Well, after it was all said and done, I was pleasantly pleased in the results.

I have been in the mortgage industry for 18 + years, and ever since I learned about blogging, I just love to share my knowledge. Don't get me wrong, I love stirring the pot with some posts, thought provoking posts, or writing Call to Action posts. But most of all, I love sharing mortgage programs, comparing different types of loans, and giving details. With so much misinformation out there, if I am not sure about it, I properly research and ask the right people questions.
I would like to add that I still have a few things to add to my site.
- My Facebook fan page
- a few e-books
- I will be adding a few links to some series of topics that I will be writing about.
And still trying to think of a few more things. I don't want to junk up my site, but I would like to add a few cool things. Not just posting quality stuff, but a few things to keep people on my site and to look around. Always looking for some suggestions.
Well, thanks to Jeremy & Jason, I have my own island in which I can be myself and write what I want. As you know, it irks me when I read misleading posts, especially when that person posts it knowing that they aren't 100% positive about such information. Hence why I started a group of some very passionate and knowledgeable loan officers from all over. We rolled out this site, Mortgage Myth Busters, in July of 2010. I wanted to do something like Trulia, to where we have a question & answers section, but that the answers only come from a select few and not every Tom, Dick, or Harry.
In any case, I will never leave Active Rain, but I wanted my own identity back. A place to where I can call it my own. And I am looking forward to posting some excellent topics in the near future. I will say this, it is tough and demanding when you start writing at so many different places. Not only do I write here on AR, The FHA Expert, Mortgage Myth Busters, but Agent Genius and Zillow's site, Mortgages Unzipped.
Lastly, I just wanted to thank everyone for their support throughout the years. I can also be followed on my Facebook fan page, The FHA Expert.
