It's that time of year again. We went to our first Farmers Market this past Saturday on Davis Road at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Naples FL. Fresh fruits and vegetables at great prices. You will find fruits, vegetables, homemade jellies and jams. They are open from Saturday 8-12.
Hi Lynn, what a great idea. I saw the same thing at a church near me. It sure beats driving 1 hour each way to the real farmers market.
Love the Farmer's Market! Is it already safe to eat gulf seafood? I guess you just can't trust the news anymore. They were portraying the gulf water life as in a disaster that would last for years.

Liz~ if you live in the south then you'll get all the bounty we don't get in the hot, hot summer
Ingrid~ I'm so glad you asked! We never had a drop of oil in our waters. That was in the northwest part of the Gulf and so very, very far from us. In fact I've heard from local fishermen that the red fish and mackerel numbers are outrageous in numbers. They must have known to come to our pristine shores!
Lynn, A farmer's market with stone crabs...there is a real treat! Would love to see some more photos. Maybe this will inspire me to go to one of our local markets.
