One Of The Reasons Why I live In the North Side Of Dauphin County PA

One of the reasons why I live in the north side of Dauphin County Pa is the quaint farmer's markets.

Especially this one just outside of Gratz, PA. You can find anything you might need from fresh fruits and veggies to fresh meats or even seasonal plants. You can also find homemade donuts, pretzels and jewelry.

I spent 20 years in the military after having grown up in a military family. After living in 5 countries and 15 of the United States I chose this area to make my permanent home. My last year of active duty, I spent weekends scouting all over Pennsylvania searching for the perfect home. I found the north side of Dauphin County PA to offer the perfect balance of rural living and small town feel yet convenient to Harrisburg PA.

I have a client relocating from NYC, and he made the comment about how early we roll our sidewalks up. Then he was suprised at how low our real estate taxes are compared to his in NYC. I explained to him it's because we only use our sidewalks half the amount of time. :-) It is a much slower pace in my valley. Just like I like it. But that doesn't mean there isn't a night life just around the corner. Harrisburg is only 30 minutes away.
