I am not talking listings here, but how to use Backpage.com for SEO (search engine optimization) purposes on your site or blog.
There are rules when it comes to Backpage and as some have found out, certain Brokers listings cannot be displayed in all states. (Check with the rules for your state) BUT, you can however advertise YOU on Backpage.
Make sure when you post a SERVICE that you click through to your area of specialty and click the real estate text under SERVICES. This is not a listing you are posting but your real estate service for that area. If you are a buyer's agent, go with that. And expert in selling, market that. Whatever you do whether it be VA Loans, Foreclosures, short sales or auctions post your ad under services so that you are following the guidelines of Backpage.
With Backpage, you can throw in as many links as you want and talk about your services plus provide a heading or title that directly tells clients what you do and where you do it. It's best to use your main keywords in the title so when a client searches for those, it will pop up on the first page.
Backpage does post to the first page within 24 hours typically but it depends also on how much competition you have for that area and keyword. As with blogs, titles matter and being specific to a phrase or keywords gets added attention from the search engines.

There are about 4-5 links directing traffic throughout the site and the title is major keywords that will get searched for. Plus this is a great way to create more backlinks from a variety of IP Addresses instead of just a couple of the same over and over.
Yes, it's even more fantastic when you get an actual human lead from your Backpage ad. But search engines as well see your anchor text and your linked keywords and will value your site that much more.
