Reality Vs Perception - Which World do we Live in??

This question has been around since the beginning of time but has never been more blurred.  With the easy access to enormous amounts of information and the difficulty in proving that the information is correct, that the internet has provided, we must all be careful to take any information with a grain of salt.  Recent History has proven that if you say something enough times that a theory or Hypothesis can become fact without any new science or discoveries.  Prior to 1992 who would have ever questioned what was sex and what wasn't, except for some high school young man trying to convince his girlfriend that it was ok, it didn't count as going all the way.  But remember he never had sex with that woman.    The problem is that too many people, even our elected officials, will cherry pick facts to support the theory that they want established.

Even the National News will do this.  At least they will not give all the facts so that it appears to be a bigger and scarier picture that is affecting everyone.  Another of these "say it enough times and it becomes true" statements is to expect every Real Estate Market to fall at least another 15 - 20% and expect another big wave of Foreclosures in every State.

I spend a lot of my time every day telling buyers that the Real Estate Market here in Knoxville Tennessee is already starting to rebound both in price and sales.   Here in Knoxville I am already starting to see a shortage of good houses available in certain price ranges and areas.  Yes these are the lower priced homes, under $200k, but that is where the most movement is.

Remember in the first Jurassic Park the Jeff Goldblum's Character comments that the scientists were using others findings without achieving them on their own.  Well todays information overload is similar.  Just because someone says it doesn't mean it is true.  Be willing to check things out before just believing them at face value.  It can be done and a lot easier than you think.
