Never Never Never Give Up

By
Real Estate Agent with Dave Halpern Real Estate Agent, Inc., Louisville, KY (502) 664-7827

never give upLife throws curve balls.

  • Financial problems
  • Threat of foreclosure
  • Family problems
  • Health problems

In 1941 Winston Churchill gave his "Never Give Up" speech during World War II.

What can we learn from the speech?

There are solutions, but they must be sought out.

A foreclosure can be avoided, there are options, specifically a short sale.

Family problems and health problems are real problems. But resilience, your support system and belief in yourself are more powerful.

Stay the course, reach down to the wells of your talent, you can persevere.

I think it’s also important to understand the context in which Churchill said that, and that was with Great Britain being in the midst of a world war, one which was having devastating effects on the country at the time.

It is okay to “give up” if one has analyzed all the possible avenues of action and “giving up” is the best. For example, some people become real estate agents because they just bought a home and saw the agent make thousands of dollars for taking them on a few trips and having them sign a few papers. They never saw the behind-the-scenes work that the agent has to do. However, once they became an agent and saw that it’s not as easy as it looks or sounds, and realized that they didn’t know what they were doing and are not enjoying it and won’t be enjoying it, it’s okay to give up and move on.

Sometimes you have to cut your losses.

Giving up is just saying we are too weak to face any hurdles life throws in our way. I am a strong believer that we will never be given any hurdles that we cannot conquer, they also help us and teach us to conquer any other future hurdles. Great to read you ar are doing fine!
