The Kitchen is the Heart of your home so make sure that it shows that way.

Make sure the kitchen is Clean and Bright and sparking clean.  This room should sparkle and demands the most attention.

Think as if the sale of your home depends on your kitchen.

Start with the countertops as they should be clear of any appliances, utensils, jars and knickknacks so that they make the kitchen seem larger.

Then add a bowl of fruit or an attractive vase with fresh flowers with something of color and shape to draw attention to but, without being distracting.

Make sure the stove, refrigerator, microwave and range hood are spotless inside and out.

Make sure that the light bulbs are in working order (remember light and Bright).

The front of the refrigerator needs to be free of magnets, children's artwork, pictures, pos it notes, everything and make sure the exterior is spotless and smudge free.   Then make sure that the inside is pleasant smelling you might use an open box of baking soda out of view of course.

Make sure that the stove, range hood and microwave are spotless and fingerprint free.

Next make sure the cabinets are completely clean inside and out.  Remove as many items from the inside as possible.  Remove everything you don't need for day to day living.

Now make sure the floors are sparkling clean. Finally turn on all the lights and show off your kitchen - Remember Clean and Bright can contribute to selling your home.

Great advice - nothing like a clean, bright kitchen, If it's not updated, it really needs to be clean and bright!

You're right. I love opening closets that have been cleaned out. They look much larger. I just did my kitchen cabinets, and frequently peer in to admire my work. Too bad it won't last long.

Thanks Margo, Debbe and Deborah. The kitchen seems to be one of the most important room in a home.  The whole house is important but, alot of time is spent in our kitchens not only eating but, entertaining ect.
