Do something important everyday of your life and just Make it count. We all have to relax sometime and lay back and enjoy the fruits of our labors, but even in our relaxation time we can do something that does count. That could be as small as making a call to check up on a friend or relative that is sick. How long would that take? 15 minutes? Nevertheless just do something meaningful each day. Offer a Sr. a discount for your services. Mow a client's yard that is totally broke. Do something that counts.
Trey---I couldn't agree more. It not only makes the recipient happy, it makes us happier too!!
Trey, I love the random acts of kindness philosophy! It feels so great, I don't know if it blesses the recipient or the giver more...
Trey, that's a tough one. I am afraid, the meaningful may come up[ in small pieces like a puzzle and then they fit in and you can see the picture
It is tough to do big things every day
I could not agree more and sometimes if that meaningful thing has escaped you, it may find you. My quick story. Today was a pretty meaningless day as plans to leave for the holiday to Vermont had me shopping, buying supplies, making calls, talking to assiciates when a call came that my best friends father had passed away. His father is a widower and had been planning to got out to eat, he never made it out of the garage. When my friend called all that meaningless time spent went out the window...my plans were going to change and they did. Someone needed me and I am happy to give back. My meaningless day became meaningful for another and in the end for me, too. Thanks for the post.
I like the simplicity of your post and the significance. As you suggested, little things that we can do for others can make a big difference.
Don
Random acts is the most rewarding in my opinion.
Jon
In Kindness terms little things are big things.
Trey you are so right. Little things add up and they make the recepient feel good and you even better.
Michael
That is a 'Meaningful" story to say the least and thanks so much for sharing!
Phil

Elizabeth
They really do add up!
Trey, I love the emphasis on meaningful and significant PER DAY. Adds up to a LIFETIME of significance.
