Last night the girls (Joeann and Fran) met some friends from around the country at K-Paul's for dinner, I met with some CyberStar friends for chat and did some blogging. We all went to bed on the early (11:30PM) side for New Orleans, with Fran being the last to tuck in. At 12 AM we were all just nicely asleep when the hotel gift CD in the room went off. "Welcome to the Astor Crowne Plaza Hotels and resorts in assocociation with.....this program will help you release stress and fall asleep...". We all woke up laughing. We laughed and laughed and laughed. Ok that was enough. Now let's get back to sleep.
3:27AM the alarm goes off - now we are all awake laughing, wondering "What will happen next". I thought that I set off the alarm. I was blogging in my sleep. My brain had just pressed "submit" and off went my blog. Then The alarm went off. . . But rest assured a few miments later we realized that it was not my magical super powers and brain waves that set off the alarm. The intercom came on. " We have checked, all is well, you can now resume your previous activity or something like that. We laughed some more . . . we can now go back to sleep. By Now it is 3:45AM or so and some of us will be getting up in 2 hours for the day. Thank goodness we were able to quickly settle back down and fall back asleep. If you are in the Astor Crowne Plaza, did you hear the alarm go off? Were you able to fall back asleep after the alarm went off? Better yet were you even in your room yet?
Looking to hear how you spent last night in New Orleans or if you have a funny story to add . Wynne From Michigan.
