The New World of Marketing for Real Estate Agents

By
Real Estate Agent with Sequim & Port Angeles Real Estate

Virtual real estate agents will work more efficiently, less hours (maybe only 4 hours a day on core work), and generate more income with entirely new business models and technology using the Internet. They will focus on their clients' needs and their business tools will give their clients extraordinary personal customer service. These agents seek first and foremost a lifestyle that brings a deep sense of satisfaction. Money isn't their God, but having a smart business model and working hard will produce wealth. They will live more fulfilled lives, work with greater passion, cultivate rich relationships with their children and spouses and friends. They will enjoy recreation in nature as it was meant to be, and they will laugh harder and more often. Their lives will have meaning, and their children will grow up with a solid foundation, good values, strong character, and well prepared for life.

This is the contrast between the traditional and the new. Who wants to live in the past when such a compelling vision of the future is not only possible, but is actually practiced today by a small number of real estate agents around the country. These agents are ahead of their time. These are the agents who will become the top producers and millionaires of this decade.

This is the Introduction to my new book, The New World of Marketing for Real Estate Agents, Early Adopters:  The Next Millionaires.

I like your outlook.  There is no doubt that the traditional role of the agent is changing. For those that choose to adapt and embrace these new models and technologies there will be plenty of opprotunities in the future.

Chuck - interesting ideas.   You mention the four hour workday - I am sure you have heard about the four hour work week - any thoughts?

I truly believe we are on the precipice of major and dramatic change in the industry, and actually it has already been happening.  According to the NAR, we have lost over 300,000 Realtors since 2006 nationwide, and I think we are far from the end of that pain.  So the question is what are we as Realtors going to do that is different, that will set us apart from the other Titanics that are tilting downward.  The largest real estate brokerage company in the U.S., Realogy, which owns Coldwell Banker, ERA, Southebys, Home and Garden, and a couple of other big names, is in a serious financial crisis with massive debt.  The writing is on the wall for all of us.  We must do something different.  The question is what.  My book answers that question, and I'm thriving by practicing exactly what I preach.  You can see more at my site http://www.MyMarketingPlan.biz.  I hope you'll join me.  You can learn more about my book and about me personally and professionally at this site.

So I read your post early this morning (on my day off for the holidays) and went directly to download your book.  I am half way through and your insight is invaluable.  I am anxious to finish the book and overhaul my business.  I would highly recommend the book as a must for everyone ... except for all agents and brokers that are within my market area.

You made me laugh Rick.  I had the same thought after writing the book, that I would distribute the book everywhere but in my back yard.  Although, I must admit that if my fellow Realtors in my area got it and joined me, it could work out in the long run with the revenue sharing.  Have a great ThnxGiving my friend.
