I have been scrambling around my kitchen since early this morning. The turkey has been tossed into the oven. There is a feeling of control that I am experiencing. But, I also know that control is transitory - and temporary at best. There is a currently a small whirlwind of activity in the kitchen. It will be a raucous day at my house as my family comes through the door and gathers around the table.
However, I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you and yours, a very bountiful day. I hope there is much you can be thankful for.
I feel blessed for my family, my friends, and all of you I have met through the wonderful ActiveRain Community.
Have a Great Day and enjoy this Special Day - Happy Thanksgiving!
Myrl, I can detect delicious smells coming from your kitchen now - Happy -T Day to you and yoru family!
Myrl... sounds like everything is setting up for a wonderful day. Thanks for the wishes. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family.
Myrl,
Hope it turned out to be as heavenly as anticipated. That's a pretty turkey in your post!
Myrl, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by the love and joy of your family! Today was a wonderful day for me and my family, I wish it didn't go by so fast!
Myrl ... You're a jewel and the crown of my professional friends! Your willingness to share your life, your passions and your career ... is an inspiration to all of us! May your Thanksgiving be a blessing and may that blessing set the tone for the coming season!
Happy Thanksgiving to you, Myrl. I am so full. OK, I am bloated like a pig. And it's a good thing. Because now I have to wear it off. Which means I'll actually be forced to exercise.
So, how did everything turn out? I can honestly say yesterday was the VERY first party/holiday/event at my house with no "major" catatrophes - no broked dishes, no burnt food, no under cooked food, no forgot to put it in the oven food, no spilled wine or beer or even water. I better knock on wood, LOL
Thank you for the turkey greetings! Hope you and your entire family had a wonderful day as well!
All - Thank you for all your kind comments! I certainly hope you have all had a wonderful holiday. I continue to have family home, so posting will be a little sparse until I have an opportunity to catch my breath:-)
Myrl, okay so I'm a little late with this, but I hope it was a grand Thanksgiving for you and yours.
