Here’s wishing everyone out there in activerain land and beyond a blessed and happy Thanksgiving, surrounded by friends and loved ones.
May you be fortunate enough to have a job that is not being threatened as you celebrate tonight, and be living in a home that is not on the Master in Equity list to be auctioned at the next foreclosure sale. May you not have to explain to your young children why Santa Claus will not be coming this year, and may you find a way to get that $390 prescription filled for your seventeen year old who just got diagnosed with a mental health disorder, even though you don’t have prescription drug coverage.
May you be prosperous and not have any of the above issues to worry with.
But if you have any such issues, may you keep your faith strong, your head high and your hope for a better tomorrow firmly ahead of your fears and doubts.
For some of us tonight, it can feel like all we have is our faith...our hopes.
While most of us are so very fortunate.
May each of us embrace our blessings tonight, great or small, as we all look to tomorrow in hopes of a better day for ourselves and especially for our families.
Happy Thanksgiving, one and all.
