Need Info on Fulton County Down Payment Assistance Programs?

Lenders have advised that the final mortgage packages from borrowers seeking to use the Fulton County Down Payment Assistance Program (Fulton County Home Ownership Program) to buy a property outside the cities of Atlanta, Sandy Springs or Johns Creek in Fulton County must have arrived by Friday, November 12.  Credit and income eligible borrowers who missed the Fulton County Down Payment Assistance Program, however, may be interested in knowing about other Georgia Down Payment Assistance Programs that may apply to all Fulton County Cities.

Buyers with at least a 620 credit score in households at or below 50% of the Atlanta area median income

  • Up to $25,000 in Fulton County down payment assistance for the purchase of certain county-owned and restored properties outside the City of Atlanta that is forgiven in ten years
  • Up to $10,000 in Georgia down payment assistance to purchase a property priced up to $250,000 anywhere in Fulton County except the City of Atlanta 


Buyers with at least a 620 credit score in households at or below 80% of the Atlanta area median income

  • Up to $15,000 in Fulton County down payment assistance for the purchase of certain county-owned and restored properties outside the City of Atlanta that is forgiven in ten years
  • Up to $10,000 in Georgia Down Payment Assistance to buy an inhabitable property anywhere in Fulton County except the City of Atlanta priced up to $250,000


Buyers with at least a 660 credit score in households at or below 100% of the Atlanta area median income

  • Up to $10,000 in Fulton County down payment assistance for the purchase of certain county-owned and restored properties outside the City of Atlanta that is forgiven in ten years
  • Up to $7,500 in Georgia Down Payment Assistance to buy an inhabitable property anywhere in Fulton County except the City of Atlanta priced up to $300,000


Buyers with at least a 620 credit score in households at or below 120% of the Atlanta area median income

  • Up to $10,000 in Fulton County down payment assistance for the purchase of certain county-owned and restored properties outside the City of Atlanta that is forgiven in ten years
