I think we need one more law! Or at least some common sense.

Black Friday!  It has ruined Thanksgiving.  Even before the Thanks are given, even before the Turkey is out of the oven we have to be talking Christmas!

Radio Stations are playing Christmas music even on Thanksgiving.  It would be so nice to finish one holiday before starting the next.

For my family...No Christmas talk is allowed until after the first round of leftovers are eaten.  Then we draw names adn the free for all can begin!

Wow I agree. People allready were talking about the black friday plans b4 giving thanks! growing up it was customary. Christmas would start dec1 with that season. If we keep this up.... we will be celebrating new years next week and valentines the week after that!

Randi - Christmas season has started at Thanksgiving for as long as I can remember. How long has the Macy's parade been going on? I would really be happy, though, if stores didn't start on Christmas until at least Halloween is over, much less Labor day. Yeah, saw the first Christmas displays before Labor Day.

Hi Randi, Your post made me smile because yesterday while we were cooking the Thanksgiving dinner, my husband started to blast Christmas music. My mother-in-law and I both vetoed him for the very reasons you mentioned. Today...it will be playing though as we start getting out those holiday decorations. What a difference a day makes!

Christmas does start to early.  Although, I remember when I was retailing we were ordering Christmas supplies in march.  Mnay merchants were setting up Christmas stuff end of sept.  I think the push to set up sp early got a real cold shoulder and I don't see the early set quite so blatant.

Randi...AMEN!  I would like a couple of days to get rid of the left over turkey before I plan the next meal!

More opinions than you want to hear about.

I would rather see a law about the beginning of election campaigns than Christmas.  I have been listening to the radio station that plays Christmas music for a couple weeks.  The Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade (really a Christmas parade) has preceded the turkey since before we were born, and it does not appear to have affected football at all.  I understand how you feel, but I like the most wonderful time of the year stretched version.

Thanks for stopping everyone.  I know this is kind of silly, but, we can always wish.  I like E. J.'s comment also.
