PhoTabulous Friday Fotos - Winter Wonderland
Ski time in the Pacific Northwest is finally here! We bought our season passes last week, tuned the skis, and hit the slopes. It is still early in the season and Mt. Hood - Timberline already has a 68" base. Daytime temps are hanging in the low teens so the crowds are thin and the snow is staying cold and fresh.
Don't forget snow chains or studded tires as they are required for the road from the fire dept. up to the lodge. Have fun!
You know, I've always avoided snow skiing due to a dislike of cold weather, but if I were equipped like the ski bunny in the 3rd photo, I just might be able to give it a try. Thanks for the encouragement. You on the other hand, have a ruddy face. She's smarter than you are, LOL!
Looks like fun. I have not been skiing in many years but have been thinking about it again lately.
Vickie - Proper gear does make for a much more enjoyable experience. The owl hat is more of a fashion statement than hard core ski gear. My ruddy face has more damage from growing up as a surfer in Southern California than my Pacific Northwest ski adventures. But thank you for pointing it out to the ENTIRE Intenet! Geeeeze! lol!!!
John - Give it a shot. The new ski equipment makes it much easier than the old heavy stuff.
Hi Mark, Sounds like a great time and lots of fun. Thanks for sharing with us. Hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
what a fun time!!! I got to tell you, tell Janice that the picture of her, her eyes look amazing behind the goggles!!!
Ski season has started early the last two years on Mt Hood. Ski season and baseball season - both bring an excitement each year that I never get tired of.
